Grammy-winner and Shinning Gospel singer Mandisa Hundley died in Nashville, Tennessee,
on 18-04-24.
As news breaks in the world of music, “Mandisa was found dead in her home on Thursday.”
her representative further said that we don’t know the details of her sudden death as of
now but we would like you to pray for the ease of her friends and family at this rough edge.
Mandisa Hundley was born in Citrus Heights, California on October 2, 1976. She studied vocal
jazz in an American college in Sacramento and worked as a vocalist for the
singers Trisha Yearwood and Shania Twain. then she graduated with a degree of Bachelor in
Music with a concentration in vocal performance. She started her career as a singer in the fifth
season of the famous show American Idol coming in ninth place.

Furthermore, her collection of albums includes 2011’s What If We Were Real, 2009’s Freedom,
and 2007’s True Beauty also got nominations for Grammy. Previously, she was referred to as the
favorite fan person in internationally known shows i.e. Americans Got Talent, and then pursued
her career as a gospel singer.
Mandisa Hundley known for the mononym Mandisa won award for the 56th Grammy Award on
her fourth studio album release ‘Overcomer’ hitting the billboard for gospel music. Her fifth and
last Album ‘Out of the Dark’ was released on 19 May 2017. her appearance on the American
idol show made her realize her health and she went through a weight loss journey.
Back then in 2017 after releasing her album she unfolded her drive through depression and life
struggles and then she wrote a memoir, “Out of the Dark: My Journey Through the Shadows to
Find God’s Joy”. It’s all about her courage and the bittersweet reality of life’s hurdles which is so
relatable to the world. Mandisa concludes her book by saying “I dream that this book will be a
tool that’s utilized worldwide in coffee shops and living rooms to help spark conversations regarding our mental health,”
